A DRIVER suffered serious injuries following a three-car collision on the dual carriageway near Webheath.
Motorists who witnessed the crash on the A448 Bromsgrove to Redditch highway on Thursday morning are being urged to get in touch with police.
The accident, which took place near the turning for Foxlydiate and Webheath at 7am, involved a blue Vauxhall Corsa, a blue Peugeot 206 and a black and silver Mitsubishi pick-up.
The Corsa driver was taken by ambulance to the Alexandra Hospital for injuries to his head and arm. He has since been transferred to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham where his condition is described as serious.
No-one else was injured. The road was closed until 11.45am.
Pc Ian Cole, from Bromsgrove police, said: "We are trying to establish exactly what happened and are appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision to get in touch. The slightest detail can make a real difference."
