PLANS to build four new houses in Bromsgrove Road could go ahead despite Redditch Council officers recommending them for refusal.
Members of the council's planning committee delayed making a decision on the residential development at a meeting last Tuesday night.
Committee chairman Nigel Hicks said his fellow members did not agree with officer's recommendation that the plans should be refused altogether.
He is requesting that officers look again at access to the site, which is close to a shop, and discuss the matter with the Highways Partnership Unit (HPU).
"We were concerned having an access by a shop would create a dangerous situation and request that officers look at plans again."
