A REDDITCH dad who set up a card club so his son could meet fellow enthusiasts has hailed the venture a success.
Adrian Field claims his Yu-Gi-Oh card club has really taken off in the last few months, since its launch in the Advertiser.
The club holds sessions at the Kingsley College sports hall every Tuesday from 7-9pm and now has almost 40 regular members.
Yu-Gi-Oh is a Japanese trading card game based on characters from a popular television programme.
"It is going really well and I am delighted at the response I have had to it," said Mr Field.
A presentation to mark the end of the club's first league was held at the Woodrow Drive venue last night. The new league will start immediately.
"I know that there are still people out there keen to join and I urge them to get in touch. We can always welcome new members," said Mr Field.
"And there is no problem if people join half way through the league - it really doesn't matter."
