PRESIDENT Margaret Aldridge wished everyone a happy new year and hoped all had a good Christmas. A few business matters were discussed and members were reminded that the new year dinner
at Kings Norton Golf Club was on January 27. Margaret then introduced Tony Caldwell who gave a very interesting talk about trekking in the Annapurna Mountains, slides were used to illustrate the beautiful scenery, the people and their villages he passed through.
Tony raises money for leukaemia
through his walks and talks. A vote of thanks was given by Beryl Parsons.
The competition this month was to make an edible necklace which was won by Yvonne Finch. New members and visitors who would like to join our small and friendly meetings are very welcome.
We meet at Kingswood Church, in Packhorse Lane, Hollywood, on the first Wednesday of every month at 8.15pm.
