A REDDITCH woman has been named the first ever Helping Hands Home Carer of the Year.
Kath Creed, of Church Hill, has worked for the Alcester-based care home provider for 18 months and emerged victorious because of her hard work and dedication, as recognised by her care manager Sally Hale.
As a reward for her commitment she was presented with £500 of Centre Parcs vouchers and the inaugural trophy at a ceremony held at Alcester Town Hall.
Mrs Creed was also one of 17 carers who received formal recognition for gaining NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care.
Established in 1989, Helping Hands Homecare provides round the clock live-in carers as well as hourly care to those who need support within their own homes.
