THE Midlands were held to two draws in their Under 16 Division Festival matches.
They drew 15-15 with London & South East after a 10-10 tie against the South West at Castlecroft, Wolverhampton.
In the second game, none of the nine North Midlands players were on the scoresheet.
They now wait to see if the England selectors pick them in a provisional 38-strong squad for a development weekend on January 28 and 29.
There is a third divisional game against the North at Castlecroft on January 29.
Bishop of Hereford Bluecoat School's Oliver Frost, Richard Townsend and Luke Yarranton were all involved along with Stourport High School lock Wayne Cooper.
Old Swinford Hospital School's Louis Stelling scored a try in the draw with the South West.
Worcester Warriors captain Pat Sanderson, who played for England Schools and is now a full international, was there to meet the players.
