THE benefits of walking or cycling to school instead of travelling by car were spelled out to Worcester schoolchildren.
A week of comedy theatre shows, as part of Worcestershire County Council's Choose How You Move Project, put the message across in a light-hearted way.
The Momo Theatre Group, who appeared during the summer at the Edinburgh Festival, put on their show called Car-Less Talk.
The show educated the pupils about the benefits of walking and cycling to school and looked at car sharing, road safety and the effects of traffic pollution.
The council's school travel plan adviser Mark Leyland said: "These shows, as well as being great fun, will help educate the children about why walking and cycling to school is better for their health and the environment.
"In turn, hopefully they will educate their parents on the alternatives to car travel."
The show entertained children at St Barnabas in Rainbow Hill, Claines, Perdiswell, St George's RC in Barbourne, Northwick Manor Juniors, Fairfield Community Primary in Brickfields, St Joseph's in Warndon, St George's CE in Barbourne, Cranham Primary in Warndon and Whittington Primary.
