SIR - The installing of three additional seats in Gheluvelt Park will hopefully be of considerable benefit to visitors, especially the more elderly among us.
Two seats are positioned along the main walkway and with the seat dedicated to the memory of Scoutmaster Ernie Payne reinstated to where it was originally placed, it seems to me that visitors are now well provided for.
Thanks should also go to parks manager Ian Yates, his parks working team, chairman of Friends of Park committee Allen Barnett, the indefatigable Mac Auld and charming Michelle Lewell, who is proving her adeptness as keeper of parks. To all who helped in the crusade for benches in the park I give my undying thanks. Let us continue to strive for Gheluvelt Park - a place we fully appreciate and of which we are totally proud.
SEAMUS KELLY,
Worcester.
