I would like to express my thanks to all those people who came to my aid when I was knocked from my bicycle and injured in Gloucester Road, Welland on December 23.
A number of people responded to the accident immediately, calling for an ambulance, alerting some nearby friends and phoning for my wife. One kind gentleman stayed with me until the paramedics arrived.
I would also like to acknowledge the professional treatment I received at the roadside from the paramedics and later from the A&E staff at the Worcester Royal Hospital. Thanks to their teamwork, I am on the mend and hope to be back to my usual self in the next few weeks.
It's nice to know that when one needs help it is still offered unstintingly by strangers who are "just passing by".
