CINDERELLA'S Dream, this year's panto from the Conquest Theatre Players, offers lots of laughs and plenty of audience participation.
Based on the much-loved fairytale this traditional pantomime opens at the theatre in Bromyard on Friday, January 27, for a run of eight performances.
Written specially for the Conquest, the pantomime is packed with familiar characters, from Cinderella herself (Aisling Cheesman) to the ever-popular ugly sisters, played in true pantomime dame style by Dave Verrinder and Brendan Moore.
There is also, less traditionally, a Father Christmas, a town crier and a rather unusual fairy godmother.
Throw in some rats, mice, wizards and lizards to help ensure the ugly sisters get their comeuppance, and watch as Cinders wins her Prince Charming to live happily ever after.
The panto has a cast of around 20 and rehearsals are going well, according to director Janet Hugman.
"It's always good fun rehearsing a panto," she said.
Tickets for the pantomime cost £7 and £6 and are available from the Conquest box office on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays between 10.30am and 12.30pm.
Performances are on Friday, January 27 at 7.30pm; Saturday, January 28, at 3pm and 7.30pm; Sunday, January 29, at 3pm; Thursday, February 2, at 7.30pm; Friday, February 3, at 7.30pm; Saturday, February 4, at 3pm and 7.30pm.
