AN AWARD is on offer for building projects that have contributed to the quality of the environment in Stourport.
The town's Civic Society is offering the biennial prize, sponsored by Thomas Vale Construction, to schemes of all sizes.
A commemorative plaque will be given to the successful entrant and certificates will be handed to the designer, builder and owner involved during a presentation in April.
British Waterways first won the award in 1995 for the rebuilding of Engine Lane Bridge and the winner in 2004 was the Areley Mews housing development.
Chairman of Stourport Civic Society, Pauline Annis, said: "At a time when Stourport's townscape is undergoing significant changes it is essential to emphasise the importance of good practice in design and planning."
Entry forms can be obtained from Stourport Library and Civic Centre or for more information, call David More on 01299 878718. All entries should be received by the end of February.
