LAURA Ray clinched the Junior Women's title at the Indoor Rowing Championships in Cardiff to keep Stourport Boat Club's success story rolling.
Ray achieved a personal best of 2,000m in eight minutes 2.5 seconds in the J18 lightweight division to beat off stiff competition and take the top prize.
It was a fantastic achievement for Ray, who helped the junior squad to glory just a day earlier in an event at Walton-on-Thames.
Against strong opposition, Ray teamed up with Jess Danby to win the junior women's double skull before going on to triumph in the junior women's single skull.
There were also some impressive performances for Stourport at Evesham Head where the senior 3 four were the second fastest out of hte entire event.
The team comprised Ben Adams, Stewart Barnett, Simon Brown and Graham Wiggins and were coxed by Becki Gibson.
Adams and Barnett were also instrumental, along with Ian Hough, Jason Harding and cox Becki Davies as the senior 2 four won their event.
Another Stourport crew, made up of Chris Bird, Paul Danby, Simon Brown and Stef Kukula, coxed by Charlotte Gibson, were second.
The veteran crew of Hough, Keith Barwise, Steve Fuller and Dominic Oglochlin coxed by C Gibson also won, beating their Evesham opponents by almost a minute.
The women also competed well with the S4 combination of Rachel Thomas, Di Ford, Annie Conway and Jane Price finishing joint second.
The S2 team of Paula Brighton, Jo Fuller, Julia Saunders and Mary Bytheway, coxed by Harriet Conway, were not too far behind.
Stourport were also in action at Wycliffe in December with the brand new combination of Adams and Barnett rowing well to win the S2 coxless pairs.
Barnett, who is the club captain, said it was a great start to the new campaign.
He added: "Only three months into the new season and we have already notched up 23 Junior and 15 senior wins."
