PEOPLE learning to cope with long-term health conditions are urged to join a six-week course beginning in Stourport this month.
Wyre Forest Primary Care Trust - PCT - will deliver the Expert Patients Programme, starting at 10am on Tuesday, January 24.
The programme, held once a week, aims to help people cope with illnesses such as heart disease, arthritis and diabetes and to improve their quality of life.
Results from last year's course in Bewdley proved encouraging, with 65 per cent of participants feeling more in control of their lives and 80 per cent saying they felt less anxious about their health.
The PCT, which has reviewed the results with tutors and course trainers, hopes to run more courses in Wyre Forest over the coming months.
Places are limited. Anyone interested in finding out more about the course and the venue should call Angela McGrath or Paul Lynn on 01562 826329.
