WYRE FOREST racing driver Nathan Freke hopes to make a major announcement about his plans for 2006 at the NEC Autosport Show this weekend.
Freke has been attracting interest from some of the top Formula Ford teams after starring in the Walter Hayes Trophy, the Formula Ford Carnival and the Formula Ford Festival last year.
The NewNet sponsored driver kept himself sharp with three wins out of three in his first outing of the year at the Three Sisters kart circuit last weekend.
Despite using a borrowed engine, competing in the new Formula Blue class and racing a direct drive kart for the first time in a year, Freke was in impressive form.
Although he had limited testing in wet conditions on Saturday, he still came up fastest out of a small field of racers and went into Sunday's races feeling confident.
Starting heat one in last place he sped into the lead by lap three and finished with a winning margin of 100metres.
In heat two, Freke won easily, recording the fastest lap.
The final proved tougher than expected after a carburettor problem slowed his progress but after fending off a challenge from the second-placed driver, he won comfortably.
