KIDDERMINSTER Harriers Ladies Reserves started 2006 in great style when they beat Worcester City Reserves 6-3 in the Worcestershire County League.
Kirsty Roberts led the way with four goals while Kirsty Hughes and Tracy Evans were also on the mark.
On Sunday Harriers first team host Fairfield Villa in the County Cup quarter final, but the Reserves are without a game.
Below-par Burlish Olympic lost 2-1 at Malvern Town in the Worcestershire County League with Sarah Lojko getting their goal. Jill Turner was their best player.
Boss Dave Glass is hoping they rise to the occasion with a tough task against champions Hereford Pegasus in the Worcestershire/Herefordshire FA Cup quarter final on Sunday.
