STAFF from the property services department of Worcestershire County Council have raised £1,100 for St Richard's Hospice by building a Second World War bunker in their office. In previous years, staff have built a traditional grotto with people donating money throughout Christmas and new year. But with 2005 being the 60th anniversary of the end of the Second World War, they decided to adopt a wartime theme. St Richard's Hospice is building a new facility next to County Hall. Pictured above is Marilyn Peachey, from St Richard's Hospice, and councillor Derek Prodger, chairman of Worcestershire County Council, with the staff from the property services department, dressed up in their Second World War gear.
