FURIOUS residents in Willersey, near Broadway, plan to take their 21-year-old fight to stop heavy lorries using a bridge in their village to the council chamber.
Maurice Andrews, chairman and organiser of the Willersey Village Forum has written to Gloucestershire County Council to notify them they intend to submit questions to the meeting.
Mr Andrews claimed the County Council "has not only failed to take any positive action but has broken several promises".
He wrote to the council: "In the circumstances, on behalf of the Village Forum, I would like to attend the next full meeting of the County Council to submit questions."
Willersey Parish Council has also reaffirmed its support for the Village Forum and is also planning to write to the County Council calling for action.
Villagers are anxious to have a weight restriction placed on the bridge in Collin Lane where they claim there have been a number of near misses involving lorries and cars.
