MEMBERS of Kidderminster Camera Club are displaying their talents in the town's library as part of its centenary celebrations.
The exhibition opened on Monday and runs until Saturday, January 28 at Kidderminster Library Gallery.
Around 50 photographs taken by the members, who range in experience, will be on display, including shots of wildlife, landscapes, flowers and landmarks.
The club, which was founded in 1906 and has 25 members, began celebrating its centenary year in September and a calendar, charting some of the changes in Kidderminster's landscape over the last 100 years, was launched.
The 12 photographs used in the calendar will be on display and there will also be three monochrome photos taken by Emlyn Wilkins, who was the club's longest serving member, between 1937 and 1994.
Mr Wilkins, who died in 1995, was headmaster at Wribbenhall School for several years and was a keen amateur photographer.
Two special lectures are also planned as part of the celebrations for later in the year. Andy Lound, of the British Planetary Society, will be the club's guest on Monday, February 20 and will present "Earth From Space" at Kidderminster Library. The second centenary lecture will be by national history photographer, Chris Weston, on Monday, June 19.
Club secretary, Maureen Mundon, who has been a member for five years and is displaying two photographs - one of a robin and another of a grey squirrel - said: "We just hope people enjoy what they see there and that we can interest people in joining."
The club meets every Monday in Baxter Church Hall, Bull Ring, at 8pm and anyone interested in finding out more is welcome to attend.
