Last week, the main TV news items were the mining tragedy in West Virginia and the corruption issues surrounding Abramoff's "Lobbygate".
Coincidentally, earlier the same day the BBC screened the thirty-year-old film Silkwood, which dealt with profit versus safety issues in the nuclear industry at the time of the Watergate scandal, which in turn inspired All the President's Men.
Perhaps "Back to the Future" will be even more thought provoking but a little less entertaining for us in the year 2006?
