AN exhibition where visitors can look at art before having the option to buy it is proving to be a success at Worcester City Art Gallery.
The Craftcase exhibition - which runs all year round - displays various kinds of art bought from local artists by gallery staff after attending craft fairs around the region.
The artwork is then enclosed in two large glass cases in the shop foyer of the building, so people already in there buying gifts can take a look at the bonus exhibit.
The exhibition is replenished with a new collection of art every couple of months.
The glass cases display jewellery, textiles, glasswork and pottery and have work available for various prices from £5 to £300.
Angie Bishop, visitor services manager, said: "The exhibition is a real success.
"We are just replacing our Christmas stock with new pieces in time for Valentine's Day. Lots of the art - like the jewellery, is unique. We get artists approach us with items for Craftcase all the time."
