NEW Bromsgrove manager Rod Brown was given an early insight into the size of his task at Rovers when he watched his side crash 2-0 at home to Marlow last night.
His second match in charge went downhill as early as the third minute when Adam Dickens scored. Four minutes from the interval John Isaac made it two.
Bromsgrove perked up after the break, but the closest they came to scoring was in the 63rd minute when a Kevin Banner shot hit the bar.
Meanwhile, Malvern Town's home top-of-the-table Midland Alliance clash the Romulus last night was postponed because of a waterlogged pitch.
In another Alliance match, an 86th minute free-kick goal from Derek Craddock gave Westfields a 1-1 home draw against Tipton Town.
