WE would just like to say 'thank you and a happy new year' to the driver of a blue car who on December 7 mounted the pavement and destroyed the rose bed in our front garden.
We realise that it was an accident due to the icy road, but they could have at least knocked the door and apologised instead of just reversing off and driving on.
The side road conditions that morning were obviously icy, but as Littleheath Lane now appears to be used as a short cut to the M42 island etc, perhaps drivers would be wise to slow down and stay on the correct side of the road and drive at the correct speed.
Large vehicles also use Littleheath Lane which is totally inadequate for them especially the narrow area at Alcester Road end. Several vehicles on that particular morning skidded one infact mounting the footpath.
Please slow down using this lane before there is a serious accident.
