THROUGH the Advertiser/Messenger I would like to thank the lady who helped me get home on the evening of December 15 from Birmingham's New Street railway station.
We waited at least an hour and during that time, four trains were cancelled with no indication when services would be resumed again.
She not only lent me her mobile phone to call home but, after catching a bus, also gave me a lift from Selly Oak station back to Longbridge.
I did not get her name and only know she lives in Blackwell and hope she reads this letter.
I would just like to say that my faith in human kindness has been restored and would like to wish her a very happy and prosperous new year.
