DJ Stephen Smith is to try again in the summer after abandoning a five-day turntable challenge.
Stephen, also known as DJ Smithy, hoped to establish a new world record at the Tally Ho, Broadheath, near Tenbury Wells, but gave up before 24 hours were up.
He attempted to write his name in the Guinness Book of Records by playing records for the longest consecutive time to raise money for local charities. But his attempt hit problems when he ran out of the required number of dancers and independent witnesses.
Landlord Roy Fazakarley said: "He was absolutely gutted but he didn't give up. He needed two independent witnesses at any one time and at least one person dancing but he ran out of people to help and had to call it a day."
Stephen, from Wichenford, planned the event in aid of the County Air Ambulance and Cancer Research UK.
