Evesham U-14 41pts,
Alcester 0
SUPERIOR forward play led by Josh Greatrix dominated from the first whistle and a converted try from Matt Phillips after only two minutes set the tone for the morning.
Callum Lance, Russell Boyles, player of the match Anthony Watts, Mike Gan-der, Matt Power, Ross Hayward and Mike Ibbotson gave their backs so much possession that it was only a question of time before they added another score when Phillips crossed again.
Scrum-half Henry Appleby gave another fine performance and clever inter-play with Luca Grillo and Sam Hopkins set Phillips up for his hat-trick mid way through the half.
Ryan Clarke rounded off a fine first half performance by going over in the corner to give his side a 24-point interval lead.
Five substitutions did little to disrupt the rhythm with captain Mike Diston catching the restart kick just outside his own 22 before cleverly evading all attempts to catch him to score in the corner.
Andy Cook and new boy James Davis combined well in the backs soon afterwards to once again set up another score for Phillips, while solid defending from Hopkins, Cook and Philips put paid to any ambitions the visitors night have had of scoring.
Sustained pressure late on eventually took its toll on the hosts and, once the forwards had spread the ball out wide, Lewis Willets to stroll through the gap to score his first try for the Avonsiders.
Other results: Alcester 1, Eve-sham U-9 1 (Try Josh Perry, player of match Alex Hillier). Alcester 50, Evesham U-13 0 (pom Tom Hem-ming).
