THE fifth match of the Fisheasy Teams Winter League took place at Hampton Ferry and Evesham last Saturday.
Ten teams of five are competing for an entry into the Eve-sham Angling Festival's Mid- land Angler Teams Champio-nships to be held over the August Bank Holiday weekend.
Finding fish proved hard but it was Rob Middleton of Daiwa Gordon League, on loan from Starlets, who started the year off with a fine catch of 15-1-0 off peg 53 on the Town stretch.
Local competitor Barry Stayte, fishing for the Bait Box, was runner-up with 6-11-0 (Town 51).

Evesham Youth AC
THERE'S third round action in the Tingle Canal Series on Saturday.
The venue is the Park Section on the Worcester Canal with the draw at 9am and fishing for three hours from 10.
The fourth round is at the same venue on Sunday, January 22.
Evesham Jubilee Society
MEMBERS will be competing for the Charles Thompson Cup at Upton-on-Severn on Sun-day.
The match is also part of the Severn Shield Series and competitors are asked to gather at Hanley Road at 7.45 for the draw at 8am. Check the hotline for confirmation of venue.
Evesham & District Association
THE third leg of the Winter League took place on Town and Common Road Waters where the Jubilee Gold squad emerged victorious.
The individual section winners were S Thomson (Jubilee Gold), P Seedhouse (Jubilee Silver), S Robinson of Evesham WMC and Gold's T Hunt.
The fourth leg takes place on Sunday, February 12 when the action is again expected to be tense in the close-fought contest.
