WE met at Hanbury Village Hall for party time. Marion, our president, greeted us, together with three visitors.
We sat at a festively decorated table, the room looked lovely. There was a Christmas tree in the corner and a huge mural on the end wall designed by the staff and children from Pippins Nursery.
After the correspondence had been dealt with, committee members served a selection of savouries; wine and orange juice, followed by lovely home made trifles.
Jill, our fixture secretary who was wearing an appropriate wig, read to us a selection of poems by Pam Ayres. This was followed by a party game in which we were all included. Marion, who won the monthly competition - an artificial Christmas table arrangement, also invited us to take home holly from the sacks outside the door.
