A MATCHBOROUGH ward councillor has cleared up confusion over resurfacing of a path in the area.
Councillor Juliet Brunner has this week clarified the areas of Breaches Lane that were improved after several residents got in touch saying they were unsure of which area she was referring to.
Rusty Sadler, a resident of nearby Frankton Close, said he did not think the whole path had been resurfaced from end to end, as the spurs off either side of it had not been done, nor had an area near the back of Halfords.
The 71-year-old said: "I use that path three maybe four times a day to take my dog for a walk and they have only patched it up, not done it from end to end."
"It's not dangerous but there are some little off cut paths which we still go through that have not been surfaced."
Mrs Brunner said she had also been contacted by another resident with the same concerns but clarified the main thoroughfare from Ashorne Close down to Matchbor-ough Way that had been targeted for resurfacing had been done, as reported last week.
"The bits we asked for which Matchborough tenants highlighted as problems have been done," she said.
"The bit at the bottom by Halfords is not actually Breaches Lane, although people traditionally think it is, it's actually a spur off the path."
She said issues of ownership of paths in the borough meant it was only possible to resurface certain areas but the improvements she was celebrating would make a big difference.
"The ones that caused the problems for the ladies, and the ones we said we would do, have been done - so it is a success," added Mrs Brunner.
