SPARE change thrown into the Worcester Square fountain before it was removed has been donated to a worthwhile cause.
Kingfisher Shopping Centre management has handed over the £375 collected from the fountain to the Primrose Hospice and Cancer Care Centre based in Bromsgrove.
The fountain was removed in the autumn as part of the refurbishment of Worcester Square.
Centre manager Ian McLelland said: "We are thrilled to have been able to support such a fantastic charity.
"I'm sure everybody who put money in the fountain will be pleased that we have chosen the Primrose Care Hospice as the recipient of the cash."
The shopping centre also recently handed out its winter customer service awards and children's club competition prizes.
The service awards were handed out to Costa Coffee, David Christopher jewellers and Humphries shoe store, recognising the efforts of staff to improving and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
Meanwhile, seven-year-old Keelan Vince from Headless Cross was the winner of the Kid's Club Christmas prize draw, picking up a Sony Playstation Portable courtesy of Game.
