ROD Brown's first match in charge of Bromsgrove Rovers ended successfully with a 2-1 Southern League Division One West win at 10-man Bracknell Town.
The visitors dominated the early proceedings at Larges Lane, but it was the home side who scored first, Joe Williams putting into his own net after Tim Clarke failed to clear Stuart Tainfull's cross.
Bromsgrove needed just five minutes to equalise when Anthony Maguire controlled Kevin Banner's cross and calmly finished past goalkeeper Andrew Poyser.
And the visitors snatched the eventual winner on 30 minutes, Banner netting from the penalty spot after Jim Griffin was sent off for handling Matt Johnson's shot on the line.
Meanwhile, defender Paul Hatton was sent off for Stourport Swifts who crashed 4-0 to league leaders Ashford Town.
Hatton was dismissed 10 minutes from time for a second bookable offence, before the Middlesex hosts scored three late goals.
Gavin Smith gave Ashford the lead on 15 minutes. Stourport came close to responding through Lee Ross, but once Hatton received an early bath, the home side took charge. Smith scored again for Ashford either side of Scott Harris' double.
In the Midland Alliance, Westfields turned the league table upside down with an important 1-0 win over second-placed Quorn at all.pay park.
Hardman Danny Moon was the hero, scoring in the 86th minute. Malvern Town's fixture at Cradley Town was postponed.
A flurry of late goals saw Pershore Town lose 4-2 at Alveston in the Midland Com-bination Premier Division.
