EXPERTS have been called in to decide what to do with Wychavon's parks, play areas and woodlands - and now people throughout the district are being asked to have their say, too.
Wychavon District Council has appointed specialist sport and leisure consultants PMP to investigate whether its open space meets the needs of residents now and in the future, in terms of quality, quantity and accessibility.
It will concentrate on open space that is well used and valued by residents.
But they want the opinions of ordinary people, too.
A series of neighbourhood drop-in sessions will be held around the district next month, details of which will be advertised. People will be encouraged to call in and air their views.
A random sample of questionnaires will be sent out to households in the district.
Wychavon councillor Audrey Steel said: ""This work shows our commitment to ensuring Wychavon's open spaces, sports and recreation facilities meet the needs of all in the district.
"It will help us plan an appropriate balance between providing new facilities and enhancing existing provision."
