ALTHOUGH the Christmas and new year festivities are almost a distant memory, the panto season is still definitely in full swing.
And one of Worcester's most loved amateur dramatics groups kicks of its 52nd production - Mother Goose - on Tuesday.
The group's large and enthusiastic chorus, choreographed by Paul Hutton - who also directs the production - are set to deliver impressive musical theatre numbers assisted by dancers from Paula Dymock's Harlequin Stage School.
Vice-chairman of the Kays Theatre Group, Sue Cassidy, said: "There is all the good panto tradition with loads of audience participation and wonderful scenery and costumes.
"The production is fantastic, fun-filled, family entertainment to beat those January blues.
"So the Kays Theatre Group, Mother Goose and her family look forward to welcoming you to the Swan."
Kays Theatre Group was formed as an off-shoot of the Kay and Company Limited Sports and Social Club more that 50 years ago. It is now an independent group that performs an annual pantomime for city residents.
Tickets are still available for Mother Goose, which runs until Saturday, January 21. Call 01905 420083 to book.
