KIDDERMINSTER police are appealing for witnesses after a satellite navigation system worth £450 was stolen from a car.
Damage of £100 was caused to the Jaguar, which had a window smashed, in Comber-ton Park Road between 8.30pm on Sunday, December 18 and 5.30am on Monday, December 19.
There has been a spate of satellite navigation system thefts across the county and police believe because systems are fitted to the dashboard, they are highly visible to thieves and have a high black market value.
Police recommend satellite navigation systems are removed, if possible, from vehicles when they are parked, and drivers are also urged to park in well-lit spaces and off the road or in a garage overnight, if they can.
Witnesses or anyone with information is asked to contact Kidderminster Police on 08457 444888.
