POLICE are anxious to trace a man and a woman after an Evesham man was attacked and robbed in the street.
The victim, who was robbed of £53, was approached on Workman Bridge and asked to hand over money for transport.
The robber then followed him into The Leys where he continued to harass him, demanding money. After threatening the victim a number of times, the man took the cash from his wallet.
The man - who was accompanied by a woman who took no part in the robbery - was described as white, aged 16 to 19, 5ft 9in tall, of slim build and clean shaven. He was wearing a grey "hoody" with blue markings and white trousers.
The woman with him was described as 16 to 19, shortly than the man, with rounded spectacles and brown hair in a pony tail. She wore a brown coat and blue jeans.
The incident happened between 2.15pm and 3pm last Wednesday.
South Worcestershire police spokesman Richard Bull said: "There would have been a considerable number of people around at the time.
"We hope that someone will come forward with helpful information, either about the incident itself or in identifying the offender or his female companion."
