AT the December meeting Chris Round reported on the county carol concert, and Margaret Cook talked about a trip to Chester.

Two visits to Denman are planned. The retiring committee and some members are going to the Christmas dinner, and on January 27 members are taking the opportunity of attending a "taster day" to get the feel of Denman as a place to stay, and of the courses on offer.

The evening's entertainment was provided by Margaret Peters, accompanied by Margaret Rogers on piano, with a programme of mainly Christmas music.

Pauline Hadwell won the competition for a favourite Christmas tree decoration.

The next meeting will be on Monday at 7.30pm in the village hall, when Wendy Lee will give a talk on acupuncture.
