SIX charities, including Operation Covert, have shared more than £400 from the Shuttle/Times and News and its sister papers in Worcestershire.
Parent company, Newsquest Midlands, has made a host of donations to children's groups in recent years instead of organising a staff children's party at Christmas.
All the causes are nominated by employees and this year Operation Covert, Acorns Children's Hospice (Worcester), Noah's Ark Trust (Midlands), Dodford Children's Holiday Farm (Bromsgrove), Hope Charity (Stourbridge) and Barrs Court Special School (Hereford) were supported.
Anonymous donors took time out from the hustle and bustle of Christmas to help our appeal.
Editor, Clive Joyce, said: "People sent donations to our Kidderminster office without making themselves known to us and we would like to offer our sincere thanks.
"Their kindness was very much appreciated and every penny will help us get closer to our target."
