SIX years after Brooklyn Ford donated an award to Pershore College to be given to the motor vehicle student achiev-ing the most over his stay at the college, an Evesham student working at C&D Autos has won it.
David Van Der Merwe, aged 18, of Fairfield Place, Evesham, gained his NVQ Level 2 Modern Apprenticeship in Main-taining Automotive Vehicles at Pershore College and was thrilled to collect the award at the college's awards ceremony at Pershore Abbey.
The award, a mounted piston and con rod from the engine of a Ford Cosworth rally car, was presented to David by the guest of honour, Bob Lawrence, head warden at West Midlands Safari and Leisure Park.
