THIS blind dog is in desperate need of a loving home and a fresh start for the new year.
George was discovered wandering the streets of Worcester in a distressed state, but despite September's appeal in the Worcester News to find him a home, he is still at Danemere Animal Rescue.
Kennel supervisor Dave Lannie said that the nervous German shepherd cross has come out of his shell since being at the centre, in Tibberton, near Droitwich.
"He is a nice old chap and needs someone who is willing to give him a chance," he said.
"I think that he can see shapes and he gets around very well."
Apart from the cataracts, which have caused him to lose his sight, George is in relatively good health and appears to have been previously well cared for.
He would ideally need a home where someone is there for the majority of the day, without children or lively pets.
The Worcester News and Danemere have joined forces to bring you 12 dogs and puppies who have found themselves homeless at Christmas.
