BROMSGROVE Rovers' assistant manager Bernard Mackie has been sacked but Jimmy Mullen will remain as the club's boss.
Rovers' chairman Tom Herbert said he had been forced to sack Mackie because of the club's financial position.
He said: "Jimmy Mullen has not spoken to me about it (Mackie's sacking) but he is still the Bromsgrove manager."
Mullen said: "Obviously it is very disappointing to lose Bernard as he is a good football man and a personal friend, so it is a big blow for me.
"But, as far as I am concerned, I am the manager of Bromsgrove Rovers and I will continue in that position until I am told any different."
