SIR - As a member of the Worcester Twinning committee I have, naturally, been very interested in the correspondence on the lack of twinning signs.
Month after month this item is on the agenda for our meetings where some county and city councillors, and sometimes the mayor, are in attendance. We go around in circles with talk of lack of funds, signs need to be in keeping with Worcester's status, the need to put before committee X,Y or Z but never a suggestion as to when, how or even if the problem can/will be resolved.
Our chairman put it very bluntly in his letter of December 14 when he called it "a disgrace." That is certainly is.
Since I have been on the committee, we have had at least three mayors. Perhaps only shame will produce any movement. Citizens of Worcester arise, your twinning committee needs you.
FRED STONE,
Littleworth, Worcester.
