Our members were certainly in festive spirit for our December meeting. Having given us all a glass of sherry, Jenny Marsh welcomed everyone and told us about the various roles committee members would be taking on for the next 12 months.
Anne Ballard gave us news about the Worcester Federation move from WI House to Hallow. Judy Lee said how much the county shopping trip to Chester had been enjoyed. Jean Westwood is organising a new Hadzor and Oddingley Walking Club, the first walk was held on Monday.
Business over, we settled down to a fun afternoon. To start Anne Ballard read an amusing poem entitled Fifty Years On. Mary Gray then organised a rather noisy beetle drive which was won by Helen Peberdy and Lesley MacKenzie gained the booby prize. Our committee provided us with a lovely tea. The raffle was won by Pat Neale and the competition, a Christmas tag, by Jean Brettell.
Our next meeting will be held next Tuesday with a talk called My life and hats.
