THE December meeting was opened by newly elected president Georgia Jacobs.
There was a minute's silence for national chairman Barbara Gill, who recently died.
After business, the evening's entertainment was provided by husband-and-wife team Ken and Toni Whittaker.
Ken demonstrated how to make a beautiful Christmas wreath. Toni showed how to wrap presents and decorate them with ribbons and bows.
Members then had the chance to purchase the wreaths and a selection of Christmas plants and shrubs which had been brought along.
Members then enjoyed an American supper. Raffle prizes were won by Joyce Broughton, Di Larkin, Sue Gardiner, Jean Knowles, Rosemary Sutton and Maggie Cooper.
The competition was won by Jean Alker.
