THE November meeting was the AGM and Doreen Jeeves was the visiting WIA, who was present to oversee the election of the committee for 2005/6.
There were some business items to deal with first, including arrangements for the trip to Chester. Maureen Furnell was thanked for arranging a successful afternoon making Christmas cards.
Doreen told members about the changes taking place at WI House and about the new premises that may become the WI headquarters. Then the treasurer gave a good account of the financial state of Wythall WI and president Jill Warner thanked her committee for all their support.
Margaret Harrison reminded members of all the speakers and many events that had been covered during a busy year.
After a brief election the president and committee remained unchanged.
Joan Johnson finished the evening by reading her poem to "The Committee".
