Staunton and Corse CE School held its Christmas fayre, which helped fundraise for an adventure area.
As well as the assembly hall, there were classrooms bright with stalls and Father Christmas was present. As always, the children had been busy leading up to the fayre making their competition entries and the Christmas crackers were very well made and attractive. William Morgan was the winner in the pre-school class, Daisy Walker in the reception class, Poppy Watkins in year one and Ross Hart in year two.
The pictures and poems competition were especially good with winners Adam Smith, year three, Jodie Hart, year four, Bethan Hall, year five and Natalie Ashley, year six.
Winners in Corse and Staunton Village Hall 100 Club October draw were: 1 Mrs J Chaffey, 2 Mrs G Lee, 3 Mrs J Watkins, 4 Mrs H Tattersall; November: 1 Mrs V Jones, 2 Mr I Fardon, 3 Mrs G Thomas, 4 Mrs P Boaler.
