The Cordery Club has its Christmas tea on December 15 and January 19 sees an activity to be arranged. The club leader is Margaret Smith, contactable on 01684-833252. Meetings are held at Welland Village Hall, 2.30-4.30pm.
There will be a Christmas concert staged by local performers at St James', Welland, on Sunday at 6pm.
Admission is £1, under-16s free. There will be mulled wine and mince pies.
The Friends of Welland are going carol singing on Wednesday, December 21, starting at the Pheasant at 6.30pm, also the finishing point.
Wednesday, November 30, saw another successful St Wulstan's annual Christmas bazaar at the Village Hall, which raised over £3,000. Thanks to all those who helped, organised and attended.
St Wulstan's choir would like to augment their numbers for midnight mass. Contact the choir through Fr Christopher on 574658.
Michelle Nixon, of Little Malvern, is heading for the Formula Woman Championship next year ahead of 4,000 others. This is due to her success two weeks ago after her first big win at Pembrey race circuit.
