THE Christmas bridge drive held in the hall on Saturday raised £600 for St Michael's Hospice. The event was attended by nearly 100 people and was considered a great success by everyone involved. The event was organised by Betty Houlbrooke, through the Wellington Heath Bridge Club, and was well-supported by families, friends, club members and a team of ladies from the village who served refreshments.
This followed the recent Bridge for All simultaneous pairs event in aid of Children in Need, which raised £250, part of a wonderful overall national total of nearly £50,000.
Parish Plan - the writing team are now looking at the comments on the draft plan from Herefordshire Council officers. The amended draft will be ready for the event at the Memorial Hall on Saturday, December 17, when you can look at the proposals and make your own suggestions. Drop in between 11am and 11pm and enjoy a glass of wine and a mince pie, while the parish council and the hall committee welcome new residents.
