Putley author Helen Arthur is organising an Army Benevolent Fund Christmas concert at Hereford Cathedral on Friday, December 16.
The event, at 7.30pm, will include a performance by Ledbury Choral Society and the Cradley Singers.
Special guests giving readings include Falklands veteran Simon Weston and General Sir Peter de la Billiere, commander of the British forces during the first Gulf War.
Mrs Arthur, a world-renowned expert and writer on whisky, is herself an army widow and a keen supporter of the Army Benevolent Fund.
Tickets for the concert are available from The Outback Classical Record Shop in Hereford.
