THE Worcestershire Golf Club held its trophy presentation evening at the clubhouse to honour the golfers who had won the season's medals and competitions.
The club champion (gross) was 19-year-old Jamie Dunster who also won the Schweppes Trophy in the same competition for the best net score.
The most successful golfer of the year was three-handicapper Phil Shurmer, who collected several trophies on the night including the Sunday Cup, Wormington Salver, Irish Cup, EW Evans Centenary Cup, College Cup, Tweddell Trophy, Parker Scratch Cup and division one medals.
Other presentations on the night included: Winter betterball Allan Watts & Carl Baylis; Tankard foursomes Stan Rone & Terry Price; Alan Courtnay Cup Andy Bird & Gerald Bird; Captain's putter Matt Pugh; Spreckley foursomes Colin Preece & Keith McLaughlin; Eclectic Cup Michael Frechette; Lowe Cup Mel Stocker; Meredith Cup David Kyte; Ledbury Cup Simon Eales & Colin Goodrum; Rose Bowls David and Julia Radley; Erskine Cup Matt Pugh; Coronation Cup Andy Bird & Nigel Collins; Gadd Brothers Trophy Steve Bradshaw; Terry Smith Trophy Charlie Griffiths.
