EIGHT-year-old twin sisters in Kidderminster are looking to "adopt" a kind-hearted "grandmother" who will spend time with them and give them advice.
Their mother, Joy Barber, would like someone to offer a listening ear to Amber and Georgina.
The single parent said it was something she had been thinking about for some time as she felt the girls needed more people in their lives.
The twins' only living grandparents, their father's parents, live in Worcester but do not get to see the girls as often as they would like.
Mrs Barber has a sister, who lives in Cornwall, and a brother, who lives in Norfolk. She said: "I found myself very isolated because all my relatives live far away."
Amber and Georgina enjoy swimming, painting, walking, going to McDonalds and going for walks with their dogs Dinky and Cherry Dog.
The 56-year-old said: "I am not doing it because it is Christmas - I am not looking for presents. They have got everything they could possibly want.
"It is not anything materialistic - they just need a loving grandparent, aunt or uncle."
Mrs Barber added: "I feel they are missing out. They need a granny. They have always got lots of advice and wisdom.
"I would like someone else to be there for them."
She said it would be nice if someone could listen to their troubles, give them advice and take an interest in their schoolwork.
The single parent added: "It has got to be someone who is active and could take them out and play with them - someone who can take part in their lives.
"It could be someone who can't have children of their own."
She said she was looking for someone who would be able to visit the twins on a regular basis and said they would need to be an animal lover, as their dogs and their cat, Gingerpop, play a big part in their lives.
Mrs Barber said the girls were excited about the prospect of having a new "grandmother", adding: "They think it is a great idea. They can't wait."
