A PERFECTIONIST who suffered from work-related depression hanged himself with a tie in his bedroom.
His wife, Janet, discovered the body of 53-year-old Robert Ling at the family home, in Phillips Road, Broadway, at about 9.30pm on Tuesday, November 29.
He was hanging from the couple's bedroom door and a suicide note was also found.
Coroner Victor Round opened the inquest on Tuesday and said Mr Ling, a design engineer, was on medication for 'anxiety depression'.
"He'd been suffering with depression and anxiety concerning work," he said. "It wasn't financial worries, he was a perfectionist.
"He left a note wishing the family well. It was a dignified note."
Doctor Paul Dunn confirmed the cause of death as hanging and Mr Round recorded a verdict that he took his own life.
